The Affordable Housing Shortage :
The Thai government has targeted building 1 million low-cost homes for the 2.2M low to middle income population.
So far 280,500 houses have been built.
Government agencies like NHA and CODI aim to upgrade slums with 300,000 new homes.
There is a huge, unmet need for sustainable living solutions.
How Amicora works
39% of Thai greenhouse gas comes from building with concrete.
We have a better plan.
Step 1 —
Buy hard-to-recycle plastic
Amicora will purchase leftover hard-to-recycle plastic from established Thai waste recyclers.
Step 2 —
Sort, verify and prepare
We will use a 3rd party existing factory to prepare the accepted plastic stream for processing.
Step 3 —
Pelletize in our own Thai factory
Amicora will install its own modular processing equipment to shred and extrude consistent pellets.
Step 4 —
Manufacture interlocking bricks
Pellets will be fed into moulding equipment to produce standardized interlocking recycled-plastic bricks, validated by Thai housing authorities.
Step 5 —
Build basic homes faster and cleaner for the environment
A 40 m² recycled-plastic house can be assembled by four people in five days, greatly reducing the cost.

AMICORA Collective was founded by Iléa Menu and Erik Sprotte.
We have both travelled extensively and lived in different countries.
Along the way, we’ve seen realities and challenges that have become hard to ignore and we have committed to doing something meaningful with the experience we’ve gained.
Our journey together began in 2020 with House of Happiness, built around helping people live healthier, happier lives.
This new venture furthers that purpose. Through AMICORA, we aim to build affordable homes while helping clean up the environment : creating a real and lasting difference for people and the places they call home.
